What Is Anza? A Look at the Solar & Storage Intelligence Platform

Every solar and storage project comes down to a handful of high-stakes product strategy decisions: which equipment to buy, from which supplier, when and at what price, and with how much risk. Teams that quickly get these calls right pull ahead. Teams still working the phones for quotes and piecing together spreadsheets fall behind, often without knowing it until the deal’s already signed. Anza exists to close that gap.

Anza 101: Intelligence hub & expert support services

What is Anza? Anza is a subscription platform for solar and energy storage intelligence, combining real-time market data and analytics with an expert advisory team. Subscribers get instant access to accurate, supplier-provided pricing for solar modules and battery energy storage systems (BESS) from across the market, alongside the industry’s deepest datasets on FEOC compliance, domestic content, technical specifications, tariff & trade risk, and counterparty risk. Anza works closely with suppliers to continuously update pricing, product specs, and supply chain exposure as the market shifts.

When the stakes are high enough to need more than a dashboard, Anza’s advisory team steps in, using 20+ years of expertise to help clients make faster, more informed product strategy, selection, and procurement decisions. From procurement support and warehousing & logistics for solar modules, BESS, and transformers, to additional energy storage development, construction, and commissioning support, Anza acts as an extension of your team to help you achieve superior outcomes.

Built for developers, IPPs, EPCs, utilities & more

Anza is designed for the teams making design, development, and procurement decisions across the solar and storage value chain: developers, independent power producers (IPPs), EPCs, utilities, and increasingly, power data centers evaluating on-site generation and storage.

For these teams, the cost of an incomplete picture is rarely just lost time. It shows up on the bottom line, in modules or batteries purchased at a worse price than a competitor found the same week, in FEOC or domestic content exposure that only surfaces after a contract is signed, or in a strong supplier option that never made it into the conversation because no one had time to find it. The same dynamic plays out in transformer shortages and HV breakers, where long lead times and opaque pricing (variations of up to $5M for the same-spec HV unit) leave teams without visibility at exactly the point where a delay is most expensive.

Anza’s edge starts with a market-wide view, not a single supplier’s quote. Our unique position among 40+ solar suppliers, 30+ BESS suppliers, and 50+ transformer suppliers, plus hundreds of buyers, provides data access and leverage that no single participant can achieve on their own. Anza’s advanced analytics build upon this robust database and automate the heavy lifting of lifetime value analysis, BESS configuration, and due diligence.

The result: what used to take weeks of calls and spreadsheets now takes minutes, with a clearer, more complete view of pricing, risk, and value than any one supplier conversation could give you. That kind of coverage lets a developer compare Tier-1 options with emerging suppliers without ever picking up the phone, or, in the case of transformers, run a full RFP across dozens of manufacturers instead of the handful they already know.

Anza’s origins & scale

Before becoming a standalone company in 2023, Anza originated as an internal margin optimization tool at Borrego, one of the largest DG solar developers and EPCs in the country, and helped save an estimated $25 million in value through module optimization in a single year.

Since spinning out, Anza has grown into a market fixture supporting hundreds of clients. Today, the Anza platform tracks 280+ individual solar module products, spanning Mono PERC, TOPCon, HJT, and CdTe thin-film technologies and a growing number of U.S. assembly, domestic components, U.S.-made cell options, and solar panels manufactured in USA. On the storage side, Anza’s platform includes 35+ battery block products for C&I, DG, and utility-scale projects and 45+ PCS products across medium-voltage skid, rack-mounted, and stand-alone configurations.

Beyond the market-wide view of suppliers and products available in the platform, Anza also continues to expand the breadth of data categories and analysis available to give clients a durable edge in the market. New filters provide actionable solar supply chain and BESS intelligence, address FEOC, Section 232 polysilicon, and other policy, tariff, and duty risks, and help clients determine domestic content options and percentages. Technical specifications, safety & certifications, documentation & datasheets, and a closer look at counterparty details are all a few clicks away. Anza doesn’t just claim to see the whole market; the platform’s day-to-day coverage and the deals our Advisory Services team closes prove it.
